Today We’re All New Yorkers

As we all know, today marks the 11th anniversary of September 11th, 2001, a day that needs no introduction. We remember and pray for the victims and their families.

Today we’re also reminded of the powerful moments that helped our country rise during such devastating times. One of these moments was the return of baseball. As the Yankees took the field on September 25th, 2001, America showed the world that it would pull through. On that day, we were all New Yorkers.

I watched with horror the TV coverage on 9/11/01. It was a day just like today. I was touched by your writing, Andrew. It brought tears to my eyes. You have helped us all by these few words. Baseball is a great unifier and long may it be played.
